Random Acts Of Kindness Week February 9th-15th 2015

G'day Peeps,

Belle likes seeing how to look at her life in a positive way and at the world at large that way too- yes of course the world has its gloom and doom news as well as harsh, stark or tragic news but Belle likes to add balance by seeking out good news so we decided to share the news that it's Random Acts of Kindness week this week.

It's one of the reasons Belle says she likes Brothers 3 as they display quality of character, and humility. Basically they rock!

That their songwriting/music is uplifting, entertaining with flavours of storytelling and are generally awesome.  Also that she has no qualms of allowing her kids to being Brothers 3 fans or listening to or watch Brothers 3 vid clips- she finds them inspiring and positive role models.

Here are some links that we scoped out if you're in the mood to make a discovery of a positive and beneficial kind....

Something many Australians are aware of- there were devastating cyclones in The Philippines in 2013.  Interesting fact you might not know though- In  Camiguin a Philippines province there are 7 inactive volcanos . The last time of volcanic activity was in the 1950s. The island Camiguin is on holds the world record for having the most volcanoes per square kilometre in the world.

The antibiotic erythromycin was created by a Filipino scientist - Abelardo Aguilar. As like it goes although he created this wonderful medicine he does not receive royalties (money) for having done this.

Nooooooooooooooo - but yes.... it is just possible!!!

 Brothers 3 storytime...

Once Upon A Time, not all that many years ago, as the legend goes... there was this family who were living on a farm in the country- Mudgee, New South Wales,  Australia to be precise.

Where they lived seems backwards or harsh in these modern times of the world we live in now- but can you imagine- a home where there is no television. OMG!! Yes- no television!!! No running hot water either so the story goes.

So the family for entertainment purposes and to while away the time would resort to singing and playing instruments. Yes people- interfacing with each other face to face. Or living a life outside any form of a screen!!!

The mother of this story- Alita- was one day soon to have a birthday. Somehow 3 of her young sons somehow decided to as kids can do to turn themselves into a group and play a song or two for their mother on her birthday.

This from that was born the music entity- Brothers 3 as we know them today. Except sometimes Brothers 3 comprises of 3 heart melting young lads and sometimes they are complimented by onstage presence of their delightfully talented mother who adds to their flavour with her sweet voice and percussion skills of being the band's drummer.

Most of Australia did not know much about this hidden delight of country style musical group as they in an unassuming way went about playing at Music Festivals or other less known or advertised public venues. Some however were verrrrrrrrrrrrrrry lucky and did!

Not only did they play cover versions of known songs in country or genres of music they also began to write songs and enter them into song writing competitions.

They began to steadily win prizes and awards for their fresh sound as a group and in recognition of their creative abilities in songwriting. just like an Aussie eh- a quiet achiever- but hey- they do say it's always the quiet ones you have to watch out for!!!

One day some of them decided hmmm we should go on an Australian talent show- XFactor. So the family called a meeting. According to what is said around the traps not all members of the family were dead keen on this idea. It was taken to a vote and the naeyayers lost and so began an exciting chapter for them.

XFactor- national tv exposure and during the course of involvement a series of trials and tribulations for Brothers 3. An earlier departure from the show when Danni Minogue had to make tough choices about which contestants were to be selected.

Then a nail biting time as Brothers 3 were brought back via the wild card extended to them.

So popular with the Australian viewing public were Brothers 3 on this XFactor they NEVER faced the awfulness of being in the bottom 2 or 3 nor faced the possibility of elimination. They went through to the Grand Final.

And yes folks- they had their knockers- they probably felt sympathy for the 3 Billy Goats Gruff as they too had trolls coming out from under bridges themselves. Scoffers and mockers of their unique way of presenting themselves to the world at large. But in true form they kept their composure and handled themselves like remarkable admirable gentle souls.

Now here's where i should be typing the happy ending of how they won............... only they did not unfortunately. A lovely young girl called Marlissa did. Then a striking young man called Dean Ray with a modern resemblance to James Dean came second. Brothers 3 came in as third place winners.

This is not by far the end of the story for these Brothers 3- not by a long shot. Paraphrasing this duo - The Carpenters from some time ago- "they've only just begun"

Brothers 3 have stayed in the hearts of their growing fan base. Fans longingly await tours, concerts, live appearances- just more more more of these Brothers 3.

Luckily with the modern age we now live in with the advent of the internet and the various forms of social media fans across Australia- and oo-oo even now GLOBALLY can get a regular helping of Brothers 3 to tide them over and keep them going.

At the end of this XFactor show- they put out this single - The Lucky Ones- where they sing about how they are the lucky ones- although i am only one bear- i think it would be a fair call to say that maybe that single is really like the battle cry or anthem for how Brothers 3 fans feel about being proud fans of theirs.  " ... we are the , we are the, we are the lucky oneeeeeeees"

If i can pinch a bit of a quote- it would have to be from the legendary Aussie music icon Ian Molly Meldrum- "Do ya self a favour" Check out Brothers 3- they are worth it!

Behind The Scenes of Bro Bear

Bro Bear was created on January 19th 2015.
Bro Bear has a mission- to go travelling and extend the paw of friendship within and around the Brothers3 fan community.

Bro Bear has biiiiiiiiiiiiig plans for travelling and is excited to think of all the possibilities of where he might travel to around Australia and the world.

It is anticipated that the travels and happenings of Bro Bear will be incorporated into a school project of his mate Stephie at the end of the year. Maybe even into one of his mate Jamie’s.

Bro Bear is also hoping that he will get to meet and assist in any educational way the children who attend the school that Penne works at.

Been wondering just who exactly ARE the Bro Bear team?

Belle

Belle!

Belle is a mum of 3 awesome kids ranging from 21 down to 10. She is also a nanna of a cute little tacker.

Belle is not employed at the moment but is kept busy caring for her kids, grandie and father thus feels she is working as she is caring for a member of the previous generation and tending to the needs of some of the future generation of Australia.

Belle likes lots of music- of course Brothers3 but especially likes blues, jazz, swing, rockabilly and hip-hop -but listens to a bit of anything from classical through to pop.

She writes poetry and short stories but isn’t famous or anything. She is a voracious avid reader.  She’s a bit of a quiet person who enjoys her own company as much as enjoying the company of others.

Belle is passionate about seeking out the beneficial and positive things in life for herself, her kids and others. She is also a bit of a self sufficiency minimalist- loves opshops, food/vegeswaps, hunting out freebies or bargains- all about reuse and recycle or stretching the dollar.

Penne
Penne!

Single mum of a strapping teenage lad - Mack - who she loves to bits.

Penne works endlessly and  tirelessly as a Primary School teacher and i have it on good authority she thinks being a teacher is the best job in the world.

She says she of course likes Brothers 3.  When not listen to harmonious B3 tunes she likes listening espcially to music of the Australian music genre. She also quite likes Amy Grant, Hillsong and Chris Tomlin.

She's a dead keen soccer lover- go the Socceroos and Adelaide United in particular on that score. As well as being a soccer mum and actively spectating her son's soccer team/ sporting interests.

Penne has two great passions helping young people in our great country- especially those in country/regional areas that often have geographical/logistical barriers to overcome in their life pathway. She is also very passionate and active about rescuing animals or assisting lost animals find their way home.

She is quite sporty- may have her eye on Roller Derby or Roller Hockey in the future as she loves roller skating and has participated in junior training of roller derby in the past. She has also participated in gymnastics,  netball, basketball, cricket, AFL junior football, soccer, swimming and 10 pin bowling.

Jamie

Jamie and Tayzin (from Brothers3)

But WHO is Brothers3 FanPage.... read on....

Cordelia

 Founder of Brothers3 FanPage:
Cordelia
Aged 16
Lives in Sydney NSW

My roving junior reporter Stephie email interviewed Cordelia as follows:

Stephie:  How did you first know about Brothers3?

Cordelia: The first place that I really knew about them was from xfactor.

Stephie:  what year did you start liking Brothers3?

Cordelia: 2014

Stephie:  Do you have a favourite Brother from Brother3?

Cordelia: Nope, they each have their own little quirks that make me like them and I can’t choose one over the other! I love them all.

Stephie: Do you have any favourite Brothers3 songs?

Cordelia: My favourite original song would be a tie between The Lucky ones and Road To Carcalgong.  However my favourite songs I’ve heard Brothers 3 sing before would either be Safe and Sound by Taylor Swift ft The Civil Wars or Words by the Bee Gees

Stephie: Have you seen Brothers 3 play live?

Cordelia: I saw them at the Moocooboola Festival a couple of years ago, then I saw them a couple of times during XFactor and I also went to their Penrith Concert during their Lucky Ones tour December 2014.

Stephie:  Have you met Brothers3?

Cordelia: I met them at the Penrith Concert, Sydney December 2014.

Stephie:  Do you have many friends and or family that also like Brothers3?

Cordelia: My mum was actually the one who was the original B3 fan in our family and it was her constant support that rubbed off on the rest of us to the point where now I’m the bigger fan.
I have a friend who is a pretty big fan plus all the friends I made through B3.

Stephie:  Why did you make up a Brothers3 fan page?

Cordelia: I was a massive follower of the “Dean Ray Fan Club” facebook page and I thought it was just such an amazing page and did a really good job of letting fans know what Dean was up to and shared lots of photos etc. I went to go find the Brothers3 version of it and then I realised there wasn’t one. So I made one, not that I expected to get as popular as it now, nor did I expect the recognition from B3 haha. Waking up the next morning to 600+ new likes and to see my page promoted on the Brothers3 facebook page was definitely a massive shock.

Stephie:  Have you got a favourite Brothers 3 photo?
Cordelia:

Stephie: Have you got a short story/moment that has happened to you that is Brothers 3 related? Or a favourite media moment of Brothers3?

Cordelia: Haha well definitely when I got a 4/4 follow on Instagram, that was rather exciting.
But really all their video diaries were my favourite, they just made me laugh.

..................................

Cordelia had a helper recently i present to you... Denver- known as administrator D

I'd like to shout out a big thankyou to Cordelia (and Denver) not only for their awesome fan page but for assisting Stephie (and me) with getting the lowdown on the Brothers 3 Fan Page.

Kudos and PawsUp from this lil Bear.
